We’re excited to launch our first open call for Associate Creatives to join the team at 52 Stone — a not-for-profit organisation working at the intersection of filmmaking, education and social change.

As we expand our programmes and projects, we’re looking to connect with working creatives who are not only established in their craft, but also passionate about mentorship, collaboration, and giving back.
Who We’re Looking For
We want to hear from professionals across the creative industries, especially those with experience in:
Film and TV production (e.g. directing, writing, producing)
Cinematography, editing, sound, lighting
Performance, design, animation, or related disciplines
You don’t need to be a qualified teacher or workshop leader. What matters most is your real-world experience and your willingness to support others — especially young people who may not otherwise have access to the creative industries.
Opportunities as an Associate Creative
As a 52 Stone Associate Creative, you’ll be invited to take part in:
Creative commissions and collaborative projects
Paid opportunities to facilitate and mentor in schools and community settings
Professional development, networking, and training events
The ongoing development of an East Midlands base as a creative studio and learning hub
We’re building a collective of talented creatives who believe in access, impact, and the power of storytelling to make change.
How to Apply
To express your interest, please send us:
A covering letter telling us about who you are, what you do, and why you want to work with 52 Stone
A professional CV (or portfolio/website link, depending on your field)
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an informal online interview. This is a chance to meet, share ideas, and explore how we might work together.
Please email your application to hello@52stone.co.uk by Midday Monday 5th May.
Our Focus: The East Midlands
This first phase of recruitment is focused on creatives based in or connected to the East Midlands. As we aim to develop our studio space and programme of work in the region, we’re looking to build strong, local partnerships and create opportunities from the ground up.
If you’re ready to use your skills for community growth, creative exploration and meaningful impact — we’d love to hear from you.
